Moral distress occurs when you know the ethically correct action to take but you are somehow constrained from taking that action. This can stem from either internal or external factors, but either way, moral distress profoundly threatens company and employee core values. This course will cover the differences between the two types of moral distress: constraint and uncertainty and how each stem from a concern for the well-being of the company’s consumer. Lastly, this course will teach how companies can shift their policies to alleviate the occurrence of moral distress.
